Through my roles I engage in various ways with individuals, Swiss Clubs, companies & representations across the country and have built strong personal and working relationships.
Profile/Motivation:
I moved to Adelaide with my family in 2010. What started as a short ‘Aussie adventure’ turned into a long-term stay. I enjoy connecting with fellow Swiss – our paths may differ, but our roots, culture and challenges unite us.
Having worked as a lawyer for the Swiss Federal Government for many years, I understand the Swiss political processes firsthand. I am used to listen to concerns, address challenges effectively, and collaborate with others to find solutions.
I have advocated for improvements and assisted in various matters, including bank accounts, (e-)voting, AHV, studying in Switzerland, and mobile passport stations. To connect with those I represent, I initiated a website and social media presence. Originally under CSA Oceania, the channels were merged into the newly founded Swiss Alliance Australia in 2021. We use these platforms for news and updates about our work, and for people to reach us.
From within the council, I was elected to the Board of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad in 2021 – the first time Oceania had a delegate in this position. This has strengthened the profile and voice of the Swiss in our region. I would be honoured to build on this and drive positive outcomes for our community.
