Swiss Military Service for Swiss Abroad - YPSA Webinar

Military service is a significant part of Swiss civic life. For Swiss citizens living abroad, understanding their obligations and options in this area can be complex - and often raises more questions than answers.

To help address this, the Youth Parliament of the Swiss Abroad (YPSA) is hosting a webinar on the topic on 5 July 2026 at 5:00 PM CEST (1:00 AM AEST, 6 July).

It will be late respectively early for us in Australia, but a recording will be made available for anyone unable to join live.

The session will open with a personal account from a YPSA committee member, followed by an overview of the legal framework and obligations that apply to Swiss citizens living overseas.
